The Green Bear Story
I’m Derrick Green (Bear to my friends) — U.S. Army veteran, former cavalry scout, firefighter, and 22-year paramedic. Those jobs leave no room for “close enough.” On a fireground or in the back of an ambulance you check the equipment, confirm the numbers, and execute. Miss a detail and someone pays for it. That standard never left.
In 2016 I co-owned Green Remote Aviation. We flew our first public-safety mission that November: a two-hour drone search that helped Woodbury police look for a missing vulnerable young man. The Pioneer Press covered it here:

That work required exact flight paths, disciplined camera work, and a setup you could trust. I co-owned the company until 2019.
For the last three years I’ve put the same attention into 3-D printing and in-house manufacturing. I design and print custom parts, fixtures, and components—tight tolerances, clean finishes, pieces that fit and last. No waiting on outside shops. Iterate, print, inspect, ship.
I want this capability to go further than paid work. I’m looking to volunteer 3-D printed animal prosthetics for rescue groups that need functional, well-fitting limbs and devices. I’m also ready to print decorations and custom pieces for veteran groups and elderly homes—things that make a space feel like it belongs to the people in it. I believe a company should always give back.
I’m a father first. The through-line is simple: take the discipline from the Army, the firehouse, and the ambulance, put it into making things that actually work, and use it where it can help.
